Marcus Ling (CEO & Founder)
Marcus Ling is a seasoned banking and finance professional with over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. Armed with a deep understanding of financial products, legacy planning, and alternative investments, Marcus continues to collect the trust of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and business families to offer financial solutions for HNWIs in Singapore and Southeast Asia. In the very competitive banking sector, his knowledge of managing complex portfolios as well as delivering innovative strategies has distinguished him.
Marcus founded Ascendant Globalcredit Group in 2024, a company aimed at offering a complete range of private banking alternatives and private investment opportunities to sophisticated investors in Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia. Using his large network and years of industry experience, Marcus has turned the company into a leading financial introduction, wealth management, and estate planning service company.
Marcus was part of the Private Wealth Management team at Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, where he made a significant contribution to the development of the department. He had a great impact on the team to achieve the “Private Banker International Global Wealth Rising Star Awards” in the year 2023. Marcus often assisted with the private banking platform and improved the department’s results with the following accomplishments. Additionally, his accolades include:

Assistant Vice President of Private Client Solutions

We’re looking for someone who is passionate and experienced and who wants to join our fast-moving team. You will be the Assistant Vice President of Private Client Solutions, working directly with high net-worth clients, introducing appropriate financial solutions in a bespoke manner, and developing strong relationships in order to drive business growth.
What You’ll Do
Build and strengthen relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
Provide highly customized financial solutions in collaboration with product providers.
Stay on top of market trends and retain this in-depth knowledge of client needs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 7+ years in wealth management, private banking, or financial services.
Education: A bachelor’s degree/diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or the equivalent.
Skills: Strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship management.
Certifications: CFP or CFA preferred.

Internship Opportunity at Ascendant Globalcredit Group
📍 Location: Virtual
⏳ Duration: 3-6 Months

This is a ‘hands-on’ internship that promises to sharpen hands in the fast-evolving world of financial services. If you become an intern with Ascendant Globalcredit Group, you’ll get to work closely with our team and gain some exposure to the financial services industry through daily operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform office tasks, apply daily schedule, and document management.
Compile reports on tasks and operations daily, weekly, and monthly.
Correspondence management and internal communications as a point of contact.
Help to organize meetings, client conferences, and team events.
Organize covers creating and arranging contracts, exchanges, and records.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Enrolled to current in or graduated within the last year from a Bachelor’s/Master’s program in Business Administration, Management, or similar.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Bonus Points: Previous experience with CRM systems or project management tools such as; Trello, and Asana.
